Local things worth knowing
- The puppy flies with one of our handlers rather than travelling as cargo. Eleven hundred kilometres by road, or over a day by train, is not a journey we will put a young dog through.
- Winters in Upper Assam are cool enough that a double-coated breed is genuinely comfortable here — one of very few places in eastern India where that is true. A short-coated puppy wants bedding off the floor from December to February.
- Rainfall is the defining local factor. Between May and September the coat will be wet often, so towelling off and checking ears needs to become routine rather than something you remember occasionally.
- This is an interstate move into Assam, so the puppy travels with a veterinary health certificate and a fitness-to-fly certificate alongside its vaccination record. We arrange all of it.
- Dibrugarh Municipal Board handles pet licensing and asks for an anti-rabies certificate dated within the previous twelve months, which the vaccination card we supply covers.
